North Dakota Sunflower Harvest Ahead of Average



For the week ending Sunday, there were 2.3 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 22% very short, 41% short, 37% adequate, and 0% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 25% very short, 44% short, 31% adequate, and 0% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 2% very poor, 4% poor, 31% fair, 62% good, and 1% excellent.

Sunflowers harvested was 94%, ahead of 89% last year and 77% average.

Pasture and range conditions rated 4% very poor, 26% poor, 41% fair, 28% good, and 1% excellent.

Stock water supplies rated 9% very short, 37% short, 54% adequate, and 0% surplus.
