Biome Makers and AgroBank Join Forces for Soil Health

Biome Makers and AgroBank Join Forces for Soil Health

Biome Makers and AgroBank have formed a groundbreaking partnership to transform agriculture using soil data and artificial intelligence technology. The commercial pilot offers farmers and CaixaBank customers access to Biome Makers' BeCrop® technology, revolutionizing decision-making in the agricultural sector. The partnership is fully financed by the bank.

The alliance between Biome Makers and CaixaBank was formed during the International Agrotech Ventures Program. Biome Makers won the BeCrop® technology, which offers the world's largest taxonomic database of microorganism references. This technology helps farmers overcome common agricultural challenges, such as soil health, nutrient cycling, and pathogen pressure.

Adrian Ferrero, CEO of Biome Makers, lauds the partnership, stating that zero-cost financing for BeCrop® technology will enable farmers and CaixaBank customers to access crucial biological soil data, benefiting the entire agricultural industry.

AgroBank and Biome Makers have agreed to finance BeCrop® Test, a commercial pilot based on BeCrop® technology, to support sustainable agriculture and climate change mitigation. Biome Makers will provide guidance and support to AgroBank customers, helping them enhance productivity and reduce costs.

This collaboration seeks to rejuvenate soil health in Spain, empowering farmers to enhance productivity sustainably and tackle challenges posed by weather, inflation, and other factors in the agricultural sector. By leveraging BeCrop® technology, this alliance takes a giant stride towards a greener and more resilient agricultural future.
