48 Percent of N.D. Stock Water Supplies Very Short to Short



For the week ending Sunday, there were 3.1 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 22% very short, 42% short, 35% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 27% very short, 43% short, 29% adequate, and 1% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 1% very poor, 2% poor, 38% fair, 56% good, and 3% excellent.

Sunflowers harvested was 95%, equal to last year and well ahead of 85% for the five-year average.

Stock water supplies rated 11% very short, 37% short, 51% adequate, and 1% surplus.
