N.D. Corn Harvest Essentially Done, Well Ahead of 2019

For the week ending Sunday, there were 5.4 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 24% very short, 41% short, 33% adequate, and 2% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 25% very short, 39% short, 34% adequate, and 2% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 3% very poor, 6% poor, 47% fair, 42% good, and 2% excellent.

Corn harvested was 97%, well ahead of 21% last year and 70% for the five-year average.

Sunflowers harvested was 93%, well ahead of 33% last year and 73% average.

Pasture and range conditions rated 16% very poor, 32% poor, 39% fair, 12% good, and 1% excellent.

Stock water supplies rated 15% very short, 33% short, 52% adequate, and 0% surplus.
