North Dakota Leaders to Celebrate American Clean Power Week

Aug. 15-19 marks the second annual American Clean Power Week. North Dakota leaders will join clean energy advocates to discuss the economic benefits of renewable energy development. Next week, the American Clean Power Association will join veteran Shane Jones in a virtual interview to discuss opportunities for veterans in the renewable energy sector. A recording will be provided in a release next week.

According to the American Clean Power Association (ACP), clean energy projects have invested $20.7 million in tax revenue in North Dakota communities. These investments fund roads, bridges, schools, and other essential community services. The clean energy industry in North Dakota is a job creator, with 2,200 jobs supported by the industry statewide.

In 2022, more than 36 percent of the state's electricity came from wind, solar, and energy storage, which can power the equivalent of 1.1 million homes across the state. North Dakota continues to showcase its clean energy leadership as the industry booms statewide. Be sure to follow along throughout the week on ACP's Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter and use the hashtags #ACPW22 and #AmericanCleanPowerWeek.
