Julie Fedorchak Joins Biofuels Caucus Leadership

By Scout Nelson

Julie Fedorchak from North Dakota has been named as a Co-Chair of the Congressional Biofuels Caucus for the 119th Congress. She joins Adrian Smith from Nebraska, Angie Craig from Minnesota, Ashley Hinson from Iowa, Mark Pocan from Wisconsin, and Nikki Budzinski from Illinois.

The newly launched caucus focuses on promoting the growth of the American biofuels industry. Its goal is to support policies that help biofuel producers meet rising demand for clean, affordable, and reliable fuel options. These fuels are seen as key to building energy independence in the country while also helping the environment.

Biofuels are produced from agricultural products like corn and soybeans. They offer a renewable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. The caucus believes that strong support for this industry helps create more value-added markets for farmers, brings higher-paying jobs to rural areas, and supports the economy in many farming communities.

Each Co-Chair recognizes the importance of the biofuels industry in both economic and environmental efforts. They also believe that by working together in a bipartisan way, they can pass policies that reflect the full potential of American agriculture and energy resources.

The caucus aims to raise awareness among other lawmakers and ensure that new energy laws support the biofuels sector. With members from both parties and different states, the caucus brings strong regional support for biofuels to Washington.
