Dive Into Farm Life at Moos Ewes and More
North Dakota Ag Connection - 09/14/2023

Have you ever wondered about the journey of milk or the daily life of a vet? North Dakota State University’s Department of Animal Sciences has the perfect event to answer these questions – Moos Ewes and More. Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, this free event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NDSU Equine Center in Fargo.

Attendees of NDSU's sheep research unit event will have the opportunity to meet resident animals, caretakers, and knowledgeable staff. Skip Anderson, event coordinator, believes this event is a unique opportunity for all ages. Participants will learn about animal diets, meet baby animals, and explore a vet's day-to-day.

A special addition this year is a keepsake for young attendees. The first 500 youngsters will be gifted a unique Moos Ewes and More drawstring bag. The event will also feature both new and time-tested activities, ranging from children’s games to a prize-laden scavenger hunt.

Ever wanted to bottle feed a calf or take a guess at animal feeds? This is your chance! And for those curious about academic research, they can see it in action.

The official Moos Ewes and More page at offers a detailed preview of the event for potential attendees.
