71 Percent of N.D. Wheat Rates Fair to Excellent

For the week ending Sunday, there were 4.7 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 16% very short, 28% short, 53% adequate, and 3% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 30% very short, 33% short, 35% adequate, and 2% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 4% very poor, 25% poor, 41% fair, 24% good, and 6% excellent.

Corn harvested was 95%, near 99% last year, but ahead of 76% for the five-year average.

Sunflowers harvested was 90%, behind 95% last year, but ahead of 78% average.

Pasture and range conditions rated 47% very poor, 27% poor, 18% fair, 8% good, and 0% excellent.

Stock water supplies rated 30% very short, 40% short, 30% adequate, and 0% surplus.
