North Dakotans Get 5 Days Suitable for Fieldwork

For the week ending Sunday, there were 5.1 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 26% very short, 41% short, 32% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 26% very short, 39% short, 33% adequate, and 2% surplus.
Winter wheat condition rated 3% very poor, 6% poor, 52% fair, 37% good, and 2% excellent.
Sunflowers harvested was 95%, well ahead of 39% last year, and ahead of 79% for the five-year average.
Pasture and range conditions rated 16% very poor, 32% poor, 39% fair, 12% good, and 1% excellent.
Stock water supplies rated 16% very short, 32% short, 52% adequate, and 0% surplus.
