NDFB Week Celebrates Future of Farming
North Dakota Ag Connection - 03/16/2018
NDFB Week, March 11-17, was celebrated throughout the state with activities hosted by county Farm Bureaus, along with a statewide drawing contest for fourth and fifth-grade students. The theme for this year was "Farming for our future."
"This is one of my favorite weeks at NDFB," said NDFB Director of Public Relations Lisa Hauf. "It's always exciting when agriculture is recognized and celebrated. County Farm Bureaus do an excellent job at holding events in their communities and promoting
the week."
The drawing contest asked students to draw what a tractor of the future will look like. Over 275 inspiring entries were submitted.
"There was no shortage of creativity among the students this year," said Hauf. "It was difficult to select just one winner. The future of agriculture, in the eyes of a child, looks promising."
The fourth-grade winner is Katherine Preus of Ellendale. The fifth-grade winner is Violet Cote of Portland.

NDFB is the most effective general farm and ranch organization in the state of North Dakota, with 27,000 members and 50 organized county Farm Bureaus.
