N.D. Soybean Harvest Nearing 95 Percent

For the week ending Sunday, there were 3.5 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 0 percent very short, 0 short, 48 adequate, and 52 surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 0 percent very short, 0 short, 56 adequate, and 44 surplus.

Soybeans harvested was 94 percent.

Winter wheat condition rated 6 percent very poor, 4 poor, 21 fair, 61 good, and 8 excellent.

Corn condition rated 2 percent very poor, 12 poor, 37 fair, 47 good, and 2 excellent. Corn harvested was 43 percent.

Sunflowers harvested was 60 percent.

Pasture and range conditions rated 3 percent very poor, 8 poor, 26 fair, 55 good, and 8 excellent.

Stock water supplies rated 0 percent very short, 5 short, 67 adequate, and 28 surplus.

This is the last weekly Crop Progress and Condition report for the 2019 growing season.

"We would like to extend our appreciation to the dedicated county FSA and extension staff who supplied the necessary information for these reports," NASS officials said Monday. Data for the weekly news releases were provided at the county level by USDA Farm Service Agency, NDSU Extension Service, and other reporters across the state.

For December through February, monthly reports will be issued. The first monthly report (for December) will be issued Jan. 2. Weekly reports will begin April 6 for the 2020 season.
