FUI to Stream Live High School Sporting Events
North Dakota Ag Connection - 11/08/2019

Farmers Union Insurance (FUI) and My Athlete announced Wednesay their intent to live stream high school sporting events in North Dakota, Arkansas and Utah through a live streaming platform and app developed by My Athlete.

"Our mission is to provide an easy-to-use live streaming platform to every high school and youth sports organization in the country so that parents, family and friends never have to miss another game," said Joe Sandin, president of My Athlete. "This exclusive partnership with Farmers Union Insurance will greatly expand our reach and our ability to deliver on that mission."

Through the free mobile app, viewers have access to live games at no cost, as well as archived events, according to Kevin Ressler, chief sales, marketing & brand officer for FUI. The live stream video also includes play-by-play announcing.

Ressler said FUI will be working with schools to help them engage in the process of being on the platform. "As a grandparent who sometimes can't be in two places at once, this will be life-changing," he said. "And the application goes far beyond sports to other events like graduations and band concerts."

Trial runs at sporting events are now underway in North Dakota, Arkansas and Utah, where North Dakota Farmers Union Insurance products are marketed. To learn more about the My Athlete app, go to myathleteapp.com or contact Sandin at 701-356-9045.
