Comment Period Extended for Proposed Swine Operation

The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) has extended the public comment period on an application from Grand Prairie Agriculture, LLP for a swine operation in Ramsey County. The proposed location is approximately 10 miles west of the City of Devils Lake.

During the two public hearings held on Sept. 128, individuals requested additional time to provide comments. To accommodate the requests, the end of the comment period has been extended to Oct. 12.

Written comments can be mailed to the North Dakota Department of Health, Division of Water Quality, 918 E. Divide Avenue, 4th Floor, Bismarck, ND 58501-1947 or emailed to mharolds@nd.gov. The application and related documents are available on the NDDoH website at deq.nd.gov/PublicNotice.aspx
