American Dairy Association (ADA) North East's Breakfast After the Bell program is implemented throughout the year. By the end of 2019, an additional 243,813 students were served breakfast in the region that covers Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and northern Virginia. New yogurt and cheese strategies were also tested during the year, resulting in permanent placement on menus for the 2019-2020 school year. The yogurt program was initiated in 48 targeted school districts, showing an 181% increase in yogurt sales or an additional 79,230 4-ounce servings or 19,808 additional pounds of milk sold during the test periods.

Fifty school districts participated in the cheese program that showed a 52 percent increase in cheese sales during the test periods, translating to an additional 91,327 pounds of cheese or 895,005 pounds of milk sold.
